I just wanted to say thanks to the guys over at the Control Point Podcast for having me on last Sunday to discuss the Honeypot. It was a good discussion and I'm glad I got to reach people in such a way. You can download the MP3 of the Podcast here at Dead Workers or mirrored here at my site.
In other and more exciting news, I have been working on some Heatmaps for use over at F7Lans. These Heatmaps show a visual representation of where and how often people build Sentries in some TF2 maps. I don't have all of the commonly played maps right now but I am adding them one at a time. I wrote these Heatmaps to 1.) see if I actually could, I've had ideas on how to make Heatmaps for a while now, and 2.) cut down on the time it takes for me to learn the best placements in maps that I rarely play, especially after an update. I don't get a chance to play as often as I used to, but I do like being an effective Engineer! Anyone can feel free to use or link to these.
Here is the link to them. Go ahead and read this thread at F7 to explain what they are and what each of them mean. Also, I have been talking with psychonic of HLStatsX: Community Edition and we are going to try and include these (real Heatmaps, not just Sentries) in a future version of HLSX:CE. So hooray on that.
