| In a bit of behind-the-scenes news, I automated a tedious portion of my website. At the end of every week, I get an email with a hit report automatically generated with the current hits for each page, link, and download (that's right, I'm monitoring everything you are doing). Then at the end of every month, it emails me a monthly report, dumps the current stats into a HTML file, and automatically resets the stats. The relevence of me posting is because this is one step in finishing the MODsite template, and the report emailing will be one of the features. Also because I like to brag about things that I do right on the first try. :D On a more important note, I've been sort of without access to my PC, and so I've done squat the past 2 weeks or so. To make a long story short, I've been moving into my own place and it's been a raving bitch. But I should be up and running again in the next few days, and I am going to start hardcore cranking out on the Hidden: Source map (and probably a few screens for everyone). A little birdie tells me that a new release could be relatively soon. | |

| So, after watching the new Episode 2 gameplay demos, and hearing about how citizens and NPCs can ride shotgun with you in the new hot rod vehicle, I've decided to up the ante. In addition to putting spinners on the new vehicle when Episode 2 comes out, entity - one of the best modelers in the HL2 community - has agreed to help me out by creating an Xzibit refugee replacement model. That's right, the Combine will try and catch Gordon (or should I say, G-Unit?) and Xzibit riding dirty across the City 17 countryside. I'm more excited about this than actually playing Episode 2. | You asked for it and now it's yours. The map Crunk Rally - cr_circle is now available for download. This is the "buggy + spinnaz" map that the guys at Flamehaus.com made so popular earlier in the year. I had to recompile it since there was apparantly an update to the codebase that disallowed buggys in multiplayer (or atleast, when I fired up the map to made sure it still worked, the buggy wasn't even there). So unfortunatly this means that you won't be able to play online with friends in the map, but atleast it still works in all of it's spinning glory. For shits and giggles, I added the "crunk_rally.wmv" video to the download section. It's a hefty 11mb in size, but it's very funny and still a great preview. Speaking of codebase updates, STILL no news on sc_razoonta. I've tried a few things with no luck, exiting the Prisoner Pod crashes the game for some weird reason. If you have any luck with it, please let me know. The Hidden: Source map progresses, and the test compiles look good. Screenshots to be posted as more of the map gets detailed up to par. | |

| I just finished adding a comment system to the news page here. Now you all can respond with whatever smart ass remarks you feel like! Feel free to try it out, I'll be working on getting out the kinks. Source Chariots still isn't working properly, and as before I hope to have some sort of update or new version that works with the Episode 1 codebase. Also, the Hidden: Source map I am working on with long-time friend Raziel continues to progress and I may post screenshots here soon! | |

| Thanks to the guys at the HL2World forum, I have been notified of an error with my map, Source Chariots. There is apparantly a bug that crashes the game when you exit the Prisoner Pod. I'm not sure what the cause for this error is, but I will be looking in to it and I have emailed Valve about this as well. I would simply just recompile, but there is another error that causes displacements not to clip objects right now, so I can't simply just re-release the map. Sorry guys, I will post as soon as I know something about this error. | |
